Meet the team leading Gentrack
Harsh is Vice President, Head of Gentrack India and based in Pune. He is an industry leader with over 25 yearsโ experience in enterprise-wide application development, infrastructure management and quality engineering within the telecoms domain and has led global teams of 350+ people. He has successfully led complex transformation projects for Tier-1 and Tier-2 customers across the globe, creating and managing centres of excellence for these businesses. Harsh is a DevOps and Cloud evangelist, has presented papers in several conferences, is a member of various boards and an avid marathon runner.
Zeev Berkowitz joined Gentrack as COO in November 2020. Zeev has an extensive background in service delivery and technology leadership having led Global Delivery, Integration Services division and Managed Services activities at Amdocs over the last 10 years. He has managed the DevOps implementation across the entire Amdocs organisation and been responsible for the successful execution of some of the worldโs largest transformation and modernisation projects. He also led the Services Innovation Centre at Amdocs with a focus on cloud and digital services, and before joining Amdocs, worked for nine years as Head of the Services Division at Taldor, one of Israelโs largest IT service integrators.
Zeev brings expertise in cloud-tech deployment, services innovation, business transformation and building innovative growth strategies that will greatly assist us on our journey. We have a vision to be the best global provider of cloud-solutions for utilities and airports, and Zeev will provide significant leadership from his Auckland base to help drive great outcomes from our global teams and for our customers.
Zeev is based in the Auckland office, and is familiar with Aotearoa, having completed his PhD in Information Systems and Operations Management at the University of Auckland.
Frances (Fran) joined Gentrack in August 2021 as CPO. She has more than 20 yearsโ experience of leading global People functions, with specialist skills and expertise in Engagement, Wellbeing, Executive Coaching and strategic transformation and change.
Prior to Gentrack, Fran was as an HR Leader within global multinationals including Barclaycard, FTSE 100 companies in the energy and sustainable product industries, and the energy and resources sector across APAC. She has also held many specialist roles in reward and mobility and led the employee engagement change programmes for KPMG global member firms.
Fran is based in London, leading a global team focused on enabling and accelerating our people focused culture.
Mike is the General Manager for EMEA, having joined Gentrack in August 2016 following 7 years working in the hyper-competitive New Zealand energy industry, with a particular focus on multi-utility retail. He has led teams in Project Delivery and Customer Success at Gentrack, before establishing and successfully scaling the global Managed Services organisation. Mike is based in London.
Geoff is the General Manager for Gentrack in Asia and has over 18 yearsโ experience of working in energy markets globally. Geoff has recently relocated to Singapore from the UK where he has held the position of General Manager, UK & Europe and regularly consults in the energy sector, advising large and small suppliers on growth strategies as well as historically advising UK government on energy policy.
Geoff spent 6 years at British Gas at a senior level and then went on to become the Managing Director of Extra Energy in the UK and was responsible for its start-up and market entry โ it was the fastest-growing energy supplier in both the domestic and SME markets to date.
Mark leads Gentrackโs Australian business. He joined Gentrack in April 2019 and was appointed General Manager, Australia in December that same year. Mark has worked with software for utilities and telecommunications companies across Asia Pacific for more than 25 years.
He started his career as a programmer in GIS software as utilities digitised asset management and design operations. Prior to joining Gentrack he worked in GEโs grid software business for over 10 years working with GIS, ADMS, SCADA and asset and workforce management in channel, sales and management roles.
In his current role he is responsible for Gentrackโs Australian customers, staff and business.
Matt joined Gentrack in September 2023 bringing over 27 years of expertise spanning the Telecoms, Media & Tech sectors. With an engineering background and a passion for innovation, Matt transitioned to marketing two decades ago.
His executive roles have included serving as CMO at jNetX a trailblazing company that reshaped Intelligent Networks in Telecoms and CMO of Wildmoka, a leading digital media transformation company, shifting media production and distribution to the cloud while harnessing AI for enhanced production efficiencies. Under his leadership, the company achieved remarkable growth and was subsequently acquired by Backlight. In this new capacity, Matt assumed the role of CMO of Zype, overseeing Backlightโs largest entities.
Based in the South of France, Matt actively mentors a global marketing team to transform the global utilities industry with cutting-edge cleantech solutions.
Gary joined Gentrack in October 2020 following an extensive international career in enterprise technology innovation and cloud capabilities, including serving on the leadership team of Amdocs (NASDAQ:DOX), a provider of cloud business software and services to the communications industry. At Amdocs he served as Chief Marketing Officer and prior to this role, was Division President and CTO, leading strategy development, building the product portfolio and sales organisation as well as overseeing Amdocsโ digital services, big data and mobile engagement divisions.
He has also founded and successfully scaled several technology companies including jNetX, a next-generation intelligent network platform for communication service providers, prior to its acquisition by Amdocs in 2009.
Gary is based in London.
John joined Gentrack as CFO in February 2022. Johnโs career started as a Chartered Accountant, working with multinational professional services firm, PwC, as an auditor in practice. After leaving the audit profession, John joined Xchanging PLC, a FTSE listed Software & BPO outsourcing Company, where he progressed his career through from Divisional CFO for Xchangingโs Insurance business and as Divisional CFO for its Technology & Software business through to the Groupโs Commercial Director. Following the acquisition of Xchanging by CSC Inc. (now DXC), John left to become Group CFO of Validis, a Fintech providing software solutions to Auditors and Commercial Lenders globally.
Prior to joining Gentrack, John was Group CFO of Momenta Group, leading their finance and commercial operations across UK, Australia, US, India, Hong Kong and Germany.
Mark is an experienced technology leader focused on leading software engineering teams that create innovative solutions to complex customer problems. He has worked across many business domains, from financial services to e-commerce and technical domains, including data, security, and cloud.
Before joining Gentrack, Mark was the Chief Technology Officer at Xero, the National Technology Officer at Microsoft New Zealand and the Chief Product and Technology Officer at Trade Me.โฏ
Mark graduated from the University of Canterbury with a PhD in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics. He was also a research fellow at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven.
Allan is Gentrackโs Country Manager for New Zealand and Asia, taking up the role in 2020 following 22 years in operations leadership and transformation roles at Gentrack. This experience provides Allan with unique insights to the Gentrack business, our people and technology, to ensure that we continue to grow in our home market and deliver value to customers. As an ICAgile Certified Professional, Allan plays a strong leadership role in Gentrackโs continued focus on agile ways of working across the customer-facing business in New Zealand and Singapore.
James brings a strong track record of leading and implementing organisational strategies to scale and delivering excellent customer outcomes within the aviation sector. At Leidos, James was Managing Director of the international aviation division, forging a strong relationship with airport operators and Air Navigation Service providers. Prior to Leidos, James spent over a decade in the defence and aerospace technology sector, occupying senior leadership roles with Leonardo (formerly Finmeccanica).
